Larry Sumitani is an executive and original member for over 22 years of GME Solutions. He has overall responsibilities at the executive level for all client services. With more than 30 years of Medicare reimbursement knowledge and experience, Larry has earned an exceptional reputation and trust that our clients depend on. One of Larry’s unique developed skill is how to evaluate the MAC’s audit adjustments quickly and capture its overall reimbursement and financial impact which provides opportunities to negotiate with the MACs. Larry is also involved with assisting our hospital clients with their Medicare appeals and litigation. He has extensive experience working with academic hospitals and transplant hospitals. Before joining the Firm, Larry was an Audit/Reimbursement Analyst for the MAC. Prior to that, he was a senior audit staff at Ohata & Company. Larry earned his B.A. degree in Accounting from Chaminade University of Hawaii and is a CPA in Hawaii.
