Sarah Ottesen has been with the Firm for nearly 20 years and is an executive of the Firm. Sarah’s responsibilities include, serving GME Solutions’ hospital clients nationwide and overall strategy of the Firm’s client development. Sarah’s prior experience include representing numerous hospital clients, including some of the largest teaching hospital systems, regarding their amended cost report filings, MAC audits and settlements, cost report reopenings, and appeals. Most recently, Sarah has been coordinating efforts led by GME Solutions with 38 hospitals in a group appeal focused on the DGME cap penalty, which was successful for participating hospitals. Since the success in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, CMS has revised its regulations; GME Solutions’ services will significantly and favorably impact teaching hospitals across the nation. Sarah earned a B.A. from the University of Northern Iowa.
